The Second Phase of the Project
After the first phase immediately came the second one, which is characterized by more dynamic events with more concrete results. New member of the Network- Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro- have conducted a survey on position of students with disabilities within the second phase. By doing that, they’ve achieved continuity of the Network.
Next activity was a carefully designed media campaign named “Equal in education” which drew great attention to promoting the concept of inclusive higher education. Data derived by the first phase survey were promoted in the campaign. Results were also published in a creatively designed publication.
Along with the campaign there were numerous “round tables” organized in faculties. There were spoke about concrete problems that are students with disabilities faced to. It is important to say that a response of representatives of competent institutions to these topics wasn’t high compared to interest of students without disabilities for implementation of inclusive higher education. Precisely, the project activity called "Info stands," attracted the attention of young students with disabilities. During that activity, students with disabilities in the halls of their faculties delivered promo materials and they also met with students without disabilities. Students had the opportunity to leave their data if they were interested in volunteering to engage in the promotion of inclusive higher education.
Second phase of the Project was crowned with signing of the Charter of high inclusive education. University rectors and Ministers of education signed the Charter and they acknowledged approval for promotion and conducting of inclusive education.
